About Me
Leslie Taylor, LPC
I work with adolescents, adults, groups, and couples. I specialize in working with folks who are struggling with anxiety, depression, or substance use disorders. My theoretical approach varies depending on the needs of my client(s). Most often I draw from strengths based approaches and implement strategies from modalities such as mindfulness, the Gottman Method, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy.
I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Oregon (Lic. #9013). I have received special training in The Gottman Method for Couples, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Training, and Shame Resilience. I work to continually enrich my competencies with both the LGBTQ+, and multicultural communities.
In my spare time I enjoy exploring new places, watching films (especially documentaries), trying any and all new foods, and nurturing my relationships with my friends, family, our goofy cat Lizzie and our delightful dogs Lady & Harley.
